So apparently it's National Proposal Day. I'm not really sure what the importance of March 20th is ,but I guess it's because it's the first day of spring. That's romantic, right?
According to Huffington Post, National Proposal Day was founded by a man named John Michael O'Loughlin and he came up with the holiday because his cousin boyfriend wouldn't commit and seal the deal so he dedicated a day to marriage proposals.
National Proposal Day falls on the Vernal Equinox and O'Loughlin chose the Equinox because “day and night are of equal length worldwide, symbolizing the equal efforts of the two required to comprise the successful marriage.” (Savings.com)
