Themed weddings are a must for me, the more specific the theme the better. Attention to details can make or break a themed wedding. I've recently stumbled upon a new theme I'm really excited about…..Zoo/Safari weddings! There is something about being around nature and the love of two people that seems so natural.
If you have been browsing Pinterest lately I’m sure you have noticed all of the awesome animal themed invites! The possibilities are endless, my personal favorite are the wedding invitations that have specialized artwork on them with little animals or exotic plants. If you don’t have a large budget for invitations there are several options that come with some “jungle” looking flowers on them that would get the idea across to your guests.
The cake is another aspect of your wedding that you can do a little more decoration without making the theme tacky. Or even if you have a “dream” wedding cake in mind that you don’t want to change you can always get a really fun groom’s cake that goes along with your theme.
Brides can also take their look to another level by adding safari inspired touches. Deep Jewels or diamonds are always classic, you could add a few feathers to your hair, dress, or even your bouquet!
There are several ways that you can bring out your inner animal on your wedding day. If you’re lucky enough hosting your wedding at a zoo is a great choice! You can have the wedding of your dreams and it gives your guest an experience that they will never forget. There is no better feeling than having a cocktail and walking around a zoo after dark; it allows you take a step on the wild side.
If a zoo wedding isn't in your foreseeable future there are still plenty of fun ideas that can keep your wedding on the wild side. This could be anything from choosing a single animal in your decor or having some wild drinks like a forbidden jungle juice.
Always remember in an intricate theme less is more. You don't want your guests smothered with cheetah print! Keep in mind when planning a themed wedding; don’t go too heavy with any certain decor you don't want your guests thinking they are stranded in the jungle with no way out!
So tell us, would you say “I Do” at the Zoo?
