5 First Trimester Pregnancy Must Haves

This list of first-trimester must-haves can help ease those not so pleasant pregnancy symptoms. No pregnancy is alike so your first-trimester symptoms may be totally different than mine and you might not experience horrible nausea or the urge to literally sleep the whole day.

I'm no expert in pregnancy but I'm happy to say my first trimester is now long behind me and so far the second-trimester is much more fun. I have an appetite again, more energy, and feeling my little guy kick is the best of all!

Hopefully, some of these first trimester finds will make your pregnancy process a little more comfortable and help ease you into your second trimester.

Swell Water Bottle

When you're pregnant you're supposed to drink TONS of water (64 ounces a day to be exact) and I have found it so much easier to drink when I carry a water bottle around with me. This Swell bottle is double-walled in stainless-steel and it keeps drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 12 hours. It has a nice wide mouth that makes it easy to fill and add ice cubes.

* TIP: Add fresh fruit to mix up plain water and as the day progresses your water will infuse!

Tummy Butter and Oil

I'm sure by now everyone has told you just how important it is to keep some form of moisturizer on your body constantly. You'll definitely want to do your own research to find the best product for your needs but my personal favorite is to mix Mama Mios's Tummy Butter and Stretch Mark OilApply twice a day. It feels and smells amazing!

Nulus (Stretchy Pants)

Yes, the are expensive. Yes, you will live in them. Lululemon has designed a fabric to give you a Naked Sensation and these pants do exactly that. Obviously, they are great for working out, but they are also great for just about everything else. I wore these Nulu tights all over Europe with a cute pair of tennis shoes and they looked and FELT great!

A GOOD Tinted Moisturizer

Turns out, that the glowing flawless skin everyone rants and raves about during pregnancy doesn't always happen. At least it didn't for me. Instead, I broke out like I was 14 again. I searched and searched for a light foundation that wouldn't cling to my breakouts. I ended up loving Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer. It has enough coverage so that you look put together and it doesn't get cakey around your newly found acne. It was seriously a life-saver for me!

Comfortable Pajamas

Pretty much the second I got home from work I would jump into my pajamas. With a bloated belly and sore breasts, a comfy set of PJ's is a must. I lived in my Everly Grey PJ's throughout my entire pregnancy and I'm still wearing them because they are just so easy to nurse in! They come in so many cute prints and patterns and you can get a gown so you and baby match!

Which items got you through your first trimester and which items do you recommend for the second and third?
