We are kicking off a new blog series called Featured Friday where we feature one of our reader's real-life nurseries. We are constantly sharing beautiful nursery inspiration on the blog, but we thought our readers would also enjoy seeing practical and realistic nursery decor and ideas.
Today's Star Wars inspired nursery was submitted to us by Cynthia (@thecynthiadenise). She and her husband wanted to choose a theme that wasn't too babyish and that would easily transition into a big boy room. Since they both love Star Wars, they incorporated subtle touches of Star Wars throughout the nursery.
Cynthia found her wall inspiration from Pinterest. She used decals for the dots and Rebel Alliance symbols from Etsy.
Cynthia's husband wanted a full-blown Star Wars nursery with lightsabers, but since they had no way to know if their son would love Star Wars as much as them, they decided to go with subtle touches throughout the space.
She used Ikea spice racks for the book shelves.
