Where did you get your inspiration for the nursery?
I got my inspiration for my nursery from looking at other baby boy nurseries and disliking them all. I then knew I wanted to create a space that was not your “traditional” nursery. I really wanted something unique and different that I would enjoy being in every single day and that Beckett would like for a long time. I am a huge fan of mixing different prints and fabrics to create a certain mood or feeling when you enter a room. I have always disliked the color blue and quickly decided green is a way better color for a baby boy. I wanted to keep everything light and bright as the room is very small and this would make it appear bigger.

We stuck to a simple geometric theme to keep the room modern and on trend. We went with neutral colors and wood accents to tie in more of a “boyish” feel. When I first got pregnant I started collecting things for the nursery right away and I just kept collecting until he was born. I mixed new items I had collected with sentimental items from family and our childhoods to create a space that I love being in with my little guy every day.

Please include anything else you would like to share about creating the space.
I had such a blast putting together this little labor of love. I highly recommend choosing a geometric theme for your nursery as my newborn loves to stare at the patterns and it is great for him to look at during all of the developmental stages that your baby goes through. He is always drawn to the natural light, black and white items, and fun patterns in the room. I knew I adored this beautiful room but Beckett absolutely loves it as well. Make your nursery as personal and dear to your heart as you can. The personal touches throughout is what makes this room the most special room in the house. I also have a framed picture of my Dad and me as a baby. My Dad passed away a year before Beckett was born. This is the most special thing in this room. I am reminded of him every day and Beckett can grow up knowing who he was. I recommend framing photos of your loved ones who are no longer with us so that you can talk to your little one about them and they will know who they are. I enjoy every moment in this room with my little man and it is very near and dear to my heart.
